Now cyberspace has become an integral part of the lives of children and teenagers. The present study aims to investigate the relationship between the use of virtual social networks (mobile networks) and the social relationships of students.
The purpose of this research is of applied-descriptive and explanatory types and according to the nature of the research, a survey method has been used. The statistical population includes all high school students in the 11th educational district of Tehran in the academic year of 96-95. Sampling was done in a proportional way (based on academic and gender) and simple random sampling, and the number of samples was estimated using the Cochran formula 374 people. The most important results of the research indicate that the use of mobile virtual social networks has a positive positive effect on membership in virtual groups, interactions and virtual social relationships. Membership in virtual groups has a significant positive effect on the increase in friendship and emotional support, but the high dependence on the Internet has a significant negative effect on the reduction of actual relationships with those around them. Increasing virtual interactions with those around you has a significant positive effect on the increase in friendship and emotional support. Also, the use of mobile virtual social networks does not have any significant effect on isolation, as well as familiarity with online criminal friends. But getting acquainted with the Internet criminal offenders has a significant positive effect on differential affiliation.
